Hello lovelies!
Aloha, Bonjour, Ciao, Hello from New York! For the sake of continuing the empties post series or maybe to save room in my suitcase, I finished up a fair few products before leaving. I should perhaps call this post "hair empties", since more than half the products I went through were hair care items. But very little babbling today (lucky you), so let's get this show on the road.
- Batiste Dry Shampoo: Comes as no surprise seeing that I go through this more than underwear (not really, don't think I'm gross). My favorite dry shampoo, which of course you know since it is a regular on the blog. It is needless to say that I've already repurchased another as you are reading this.
- Dove Dry Shampoo: I want to like as much as the Batiste because I love the scent and it does do a good job at absorbing oil, but it leaves behind way too much residue. On top of that, I find that if I use it too much it leaves my scalp very itchy and flaky. Unfortunately the scent is not enough compensate for the white cast. Will not be repurchasing.
- L'Oreal Sleek It Strand Smoother Serum Spray: Has been my favorite recent hair find! If my hair is looking dull and dry, I spritz this all over (root to tip because it doesn't cause build up) and it gives instant shine/life. I find that, on me at least, it really helps keep le frizz situation under control, plus it has a really nice scent. I finished up my first bottle a little while ago, but didn't repurchase right away, and I noticed a MAJOR (Rachel Zoe voice for emphasis) difference. I had to run to the drugstore and pick up another one, so consider this a definite repurchase.
- Living Proof Flex Shaping Spray: I enjoyed using and the mini size is not only cheaper (a nice way to try pricier products) but also very convenient to carry around. It's a light hold hairspray, perhaps not the best to hold curls, but perfect for keeping any fly aways in place without making your hair feel like straw. Like I said, I did like it, but I didn't love it; so I won't be repurchasing any time soon, especially since the TRESemme Hairspray does the same thing.
- Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm: I discovered over six months ago thanks to the lovely Tanya Burr and have loved ever since. It's the most "bank for my money" beauty product I've ever purchased, and amazing at removing all my makeup. If you've never used a cleansing balm, this is a great one to start off with, plus at $28.50 it's not ridiculously expensive. Currently I'm using a Clarins cleansing balm, so although I will repurchase, I'm going to finish off that one before I do.
- Anastasia Brow Wiz: My favorite brow product by far! It has a very small/thin nib to really get into the brows, and make them look natural. Since I featured it in my Forever Repurchase, post it should come as no surprise that I've already repurchased.
- Maybelline The Rocket Mascara: I finally finished up after reaching for the L'Oreal Butterfly non-top. Unlike a lot of gals, I actually like a plastic mascara wand. I find this one gives more volume than length, while the L'Oreal Butterfly gives both, so I don't think I'll be repurchasing anytime soon.
- Kiehls Ultra Facial Cream: Yet another one finished, and yet another one repurchased. You guys know this is my favorite moisturizer all year round, rain or shine, and no matter how my skin is behaving. A super creamy/hydrating formula, yet very lightweight.
- Maybelline Dream Wonder Powder: Has been my go-to setting powder for a while now. It's a very lightweight formula that does wonders (pun intended) at giving the skin that airbrushed, almost blurred out finish. It keeps my (recently) oily skin at bay throughout the day, without overly mattifying the face.
- Fleure Scent Rollerball Perfume "Neon Rose": Smells so uhh-mazing! It's not to flowery, or too sweet, or too musky. It's the perfect neutral, clean, fresh scent to carry around with you just in case you start to feel/smell funky during the day.
Well my beauties, there you have a little peek at a beauty hoarder's trash. I cannot end this post without a massive THANK YOU for all the wonderful thoughts and support about my move. It honestly means the world to me to have such amazing people in my corner, and a ''thank you" in caps lock really doesn't cover it! I hope you enjoyed today's post, and don't forget to go follow me on my social media to see what I really get up to when I'm not sitting with my laptop.
Thanks for reading!
