Dupe ALERT!

Hello lovelies!

Part of being a beauty hoarder means "accidentally" buying the same product thinking at the time: "But it is so different from the one I already have". I take comfort in knowing that 1) I'm not alone  and 2) I might find a more affordable alternative to a pricy product I end up loving and constantly repurchase. Case in point the Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Crayon- "Brown(Out)" and it's more affordable (yet not as beautifully packaged) twin the Rimmel ScandalEyes Waterproof Kohl Eyeliner- "Brown".

I love using brown/bronze pencil liners when I want to go for a more natural, easy look. Plus, I find that they make my lashes look fuller than when I use black liner. Both of them have an amazing, creamy-stay-all-day consistency. When I say 'creamy', I mean these puppies glide on like butter while also offering ample time to smudge them out, and once they set they won't budge. What I love most about these is that they both have a slight golden shimmer, which adds "a little something extra" (guess the famous movie line) and brightness.

The only two differences I've found, is that the the Rimmel liner is slightly (barely) more red toned, and that it needs to be sharpened, while the Marc Jacobs is a true brown and a twist up.

What would you do? Splurge or Save?

Thanks for reading!
