Consumerism #3

Hello lovelies!

Guys, I think I need help. Let's just start with that, and pray that my mom doesn't see this post (or my bank statements). To be clear, it is my money, but the little voice in my head that says "No, you shouldn't do this" just happens to sound a lot like my mom. And even though my bank account doesn't agree, a little beauty haul never hurt anybody.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette: First of, guys, how uhh-mazing is this packaging! This limited edition palette had been roaming around the beauty circuit for a while, and since it's back by popular demand, I had to pick it up. It has three ambient lighting powders: Dim Light, Radiant Light, and Incandescent Light. If you don't now by now, these Hourglass powders are specifically known for their light reflecting qualities to make skin look luminous and lit form within.

Sephora Favorites: Draw The Line: I love when Sephora comes out with these values packs because they are a great way of testing out lots of products at once (for a reduced price). It comes with five deluxe sized samples (Stila, Kat Von D, NARS, Marc Jacobs, & Sephora Collection) and one full size Urban Decay double ended liner (which pays for the whole set). Now to be honest, half of the liners I've already tried before, but since I know I loved them and I'm running low, I figured this was a great way to stock up. So, now I not only have back ups for some of my favorites like the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner and the Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Crayon, but I also get to try new ones like the NARS Longwear Liner and the Sephora Collection Contour Eye Pencil. Great value for money if you are looking to try new eyeliners, but I would hurry if I were you because they don't keep them around for long.

First Aid Beauty Eye Duty Triple Remedy: This (along with the next item) has been on my beauty wish list for a while now (evidence here). Essentially, it's a morning eye treatment to help de-puff and cover up dark circles. I love the cooling feeling of metal tip, it reminds me of the Clinique All About Eyes Serum , and since it's a salmon color, it does help disguise dark circles.

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Foundation: I've had my eye on for a while, and I'm very pleased with the formula. It's a kind of mousse texture, which provides great coverage but without feeling heavy on the skin. Even so, I had to go back and pick up a new shade because I needed one a tad bit yellower #oliveskinproblems. Hopefully I have found the perfect shade and you will hear me rave about it for months to come. Fingers crossed.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Illuminating Moisture Cream: I wasn't planning on picking up ( I usually never do), but hey when The Body Shop has a buy one get one 50% off you can't just walk away, so carpe diem. I figured this would come in handy now that we're getting closer to the colder months and my skin is starting to look a bit dull. I thought it would be great to pair underneath the Tarte Foundation, which is matte (for my oily skin), and that way I have the best of both worlds: Oil under control, yet luminous skin.

The Body Shop Camomile Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover: I decided to purchase with the hopes it works just as good as my trusty Clarins Instant Eye Makeup Remover, which is thee best for waterproof mascara, but a little too pricy. Like the Clarins, you have to shake it up so that the two layers (oil and water) mix together and are ready to tackle that pesky-hard-to-remove eye makeup.

Hopefully my beauty purchase craving has been quenched after this haul (pffft, yeah right)! Please let me know in the comments if you've tried any of the products mentioned and how they've worked for you. To close out today's post I want to apologize if I've enabled you to spend all your pennies on makeup (like me), but we all know it's well worth it.

Nude-Gray for Fall

Hello lovelies!

I'm the type of gal that changes nail polish color at least twice a week, but every now and then I find myself going back to the same polish non-stop. Enter the L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche Nail "Eiffel For You". For starters, I'm a sucker for cute/cheesy nail polish names, and I must say this one is top five. More importantly, I am completely in LOVE (yes, Caps Lock for emphasis) with this nude-gray shade! I think it's the perfect neutral-grown-up shade, and I adore how it looks with my skin tone. To top it off, I also really like the brush: thick and sturdy, as well as the formula: opaque, long lasting, and glossy/shiny finish (no top coat necessary, although I can't help myself). I have a feeling my obsession with this color will last well through the fall, and maybe even transfer over to my wardrobe.

Which will be your signature nail color for the fall? Let me know in the comments.
